Purple Ribbon Beef is dedicated to providing premium beef to your table.  Our beef tastes better because we pay attention to the little details as every animal is born on our farm and in our care until we deliver them to the local processor. All the animals have corn-fed diet which results in a more tender and tastier beef. In addition, when the beef is processed it is dry-aged 10-14 days. The dry-aged process allows the beef to increase in tenderness and a more beefy flavor than compared to the beef in grocery stores that is not dry-aged.

Dry-aged for 14 days to naturally enhance flavor, this economical roast comes from the shoulder and is known for its hearty texture and incredible flavor. Whether prepared in the slow cooker, Dutch oven, smoker, or oven, the Arm Roast transforms into a comforting meal that's perfect for feeding the whole family.

Some Arm Roasts include the natural bone, which adds even more flavor to the cooking juices, while others may be boneless depending on where the roast is cut. Either way, you'll enjoy the same rich beef flavor and quality you expect from Purple Ribbon Beef.

How We Recommend Cooking

For the best results:

  • Season generously with salt, pepper, garlic, and your favorite roast seasoning

  • Sear on all sides before slow cooking for extra flavor (optional)

  • Cook low and slow for 6–8 hours in a slow cooker or covered Dutch oven until fork tender

  • Add potatoes, carrots, onions, and celery for a complete one-pot meal
